Great Wall Appeared On Bologna Motor Show In Italy

On December 12th, 2010, the 35th Bologna Motor Show ended successfully. Great Wall Motor Company Limited brought its seven models as Haval H5, Voleex C10, Wingle pickup, etc. and one diesel engine GW3D15, presenting at the show; among the exhibiting models, GWKULLA electric cars, Wingle 5 , Voleex C10 are their debut in European market.
 
Great Wall has entered the Italian market as early as 2006, and currently it has become one of the most important markets of Great Wall in EU. Last year, four major types of Great Wall’s products passed EU homologation, and Great Wall become the Chinese automotive brand which owns the most EU-homologated models. This is the 3rd consecutive year of Great Wall for participation of the Motor Show in Italy.
 
The Motor Show this year took place in Bologna, the famous historical city in north Italy, lasting from 2nd to 12th December. 47 models are the first time to exhibit at the show, including 6 world premiere models, 5 Europe premiere models and 36 Italy premiere models. Impacted by the world economic crisis, 2009 Bologna Motor Show failed to take place as scheduled; in 2010, after a year of recovery, a number of world famous auto brands are joining this grand auto gala. Italy is a historic powerhouse for auto production, while Bologna Motor Show is the top auto show in Italy, every major brand all attaches great importance on this lucky place where numerous classic models of vehicle were born.
 
In the Show, the Great Wall vehicles as one of a few Chinese brands participating in the exhibition have attracted much attention, and are presenting with Renault, Dacia, Isuzu and other well-known auto brands on the same stage. The exhibition models include such three types as Haval SUV, Wingle Pickup and Voleex Passenger Car; meanwhile, the mass-produced models, the premiere models and the new energy vehicle are in full swing for production, which indicates the importance of the Italian market for Great Wall. Among the exhibition models, the Haval H5 and Wingle pickup are the major selling models of Great Wall in Italy. Wingle pickup has won the monthly sales champion of the Italian pickups for several times; while since entering Italy market in 2006, Haval SUV has already laid a solid foundation for the market. As the first passenger car of Great Wall, Voleex C10 will enter this market next year. Such three major types of vehicles as Haval SUV, Wingle pickup, Voleex Passenger Car will be introduced successively to the Italian market for sales, forming the basis for expansion of Great Wall in EU market.
 
With the continuous development of China's automobile industry in recent years, overseas markets have become the battle field for various major car brands; while Italy as one of the EU markets, because of its strict laws and regulations, it has hindered the development of a number of Chinese auto brands entering to its market. According to the person in charge of the Company, continuing to expand the sales range of EU market becomes another strategic measure of the Company for overseas markets and is also another development objective of Great Wall.
