Haval H5 European Edition Being Launched In Russia

HAVAL H5 European Editioin was launched in Russian market on March 10, 2011. Co-organized by the Great Wall Motors and its Russian distributor IRITO, the launch ceremony attracted great attention from local media and enthusiastic auto fans. Zhou Yong from HAVAL SUV Loong Racing Team, the first place winner among Chinese racers at the Dakar Rally 2011, also attended the ceremony as an honored guest.
 
Developed in full accordance with EU standard, the HAVAL H5 European Edition is the first global SUV model of European-standard quality. Within only one year, the HAVAL H5 European Edition has become the first Chinese vehicle obtaining the EU Whole Vehicle Type Approval (WVTA) by undergoing 48 strict testing programs, covering vehicle safety, environmental protection, performance, and inside smell. From March 2010 to August, 2,001 HAVAL H5 European Edition vehicles had been exported to Italy (an EU member state) in batches. It is reported that HAVAL H5 European Edition vehicles have also been exported in small batches to Syria, Belarus, Chile, Southeast Asia, Africa and other countries and regions.
 
Russia is major overseas market of Great Wall Motors. In 2010, Great Wall Motors exported more than 8,000 vehicles to Russia. The main model exported is HAVAL SUV. It is reported that the Great Wall Motors’ main partner in Russia is the IRITO Group. In the Moscow Region, the Great Wall Motors owns a KD assembly plant with a production capacity of 30,000 vehicles, among which the main models are HAVAL H3, HAVAL H5 and HAVAL M2 .
